Frequent Questions
What is the meaning of "Concilium Magicus?"
The name of our School of Wizardry has its origins in Latin. Translated to English, "Concilium Magicus" means "Magick Council."
What sort of students do you have and are they taught religious philosophy?
Our students are of different ages and different backgrounds. They are both male and female. Because Sorcery does not promote religious philosophy, our School does not teach religion. Rather, powerful Magickal knowledge is learned and acquired here.
When was Concilium Magicus founded?
Concilium Magicus (CM) was founded in 2009 by Headmaster Draco and Headmistress Mandragen and made virtually available to the public in 2010. The first students enrolled on October 31, 2010.
Does Concilium Magicus have a physical location?
Our School is still presently located solely online. However, as one of our main goals is to have a physical campus location, we are currently working on plans to do so.
Can anyone attend Concilium Magicus?
To attend CM, students must be at least 14 years of age and older. We do not accept youngsters who are under the age of 14. We welcome students of all ethnicities, genders, locations, nationalities, sexual orientations, etc., but we expect each student to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in proficient English.
Is Concilium Magicus real or is it just a fictional role-playing school or like in Harry Potter?
We assure you that CM is absolutely a real school and that there is nothing fictional about it or its courses. Unlike other existing online schools, we are not in the market to simulate Hogwarts. Don't get us wrong....we absolutely love Harry Potter, Hogwarts, etc. However, our business here is to bring our students true and real knowledge so that they will be able to use that knowledge once they have completed the Apprenticeship Program.
Unlike other such virtual schools that claim they are real and not emulating Hogwarts, yet they have "houses" and "lodges" in which their students are sorted, we do no such thing. Not because we're not a fun group of people, but because we truly do not see, at this point, a reason to separate students in such manner. If we were a brick and mortar campus with housing, then yes, we would have to come up with some sort of method to keep our students sorted so that we may have an idea of who lives where. But because we are yet still a virtual school, we do not sort students into imaginary houses. Our School has a real Headmaster and Headmistress, both who are masterly, knowledgeable, and respected, and whose main goal in creating this School of Wizardry was to afford anyone with a strong interest in the Art of Wizardry to have a place where they could go and truly learn that which they seek.
As we are a real School of Wizardry, students who enroll are expected to take their studies seriously, to work diligently to complete their Apprenticeship, to exhibit courtesy and politeness, and to have fun.

How much is tuition?
Our tuition is extremely affordable for everyone. For full information, please visit "Financial" under "Prospective Students" on the NavBar.
Where can students purchase supplies for class?
Students may purchase their school supplies at any reputable metaphysical shoppe. Azure Green is an excellent online shoppe. Our Ruddles & Peggles, though not a shoppe, is visited and consulted by our students because it is equipped with pictures and descriptions of exactly everything students will need for their classes.
